Travel Guide | Amsterdam
Amsterdam has a soft spot in our hearts. Casey spent a month living here after college, and we took one of our first trips abroad here together — years before starting Canyon.
There are two big points we always share with people when talking about Amsterdam: (1) To really enjoy the city, you need to ride a bicycle. They’re very easy to rent by the day. It will all make so much more sense! (2) There is so much more to the city than the buzz around the Red Light district. The food, cafés, parks, canals, museums, and art, all nestled in a small, beautiful city, make for a beautiful destination that’s a departure from much of the rest of the world.
Our most recent trip to Amsterdam came in the spring of 2024. Our recommendations are based mostly on this trip, with some old / timeless favorites included as well.
Just a head’s up! You’ll be asked for your shipping address but not any payment info when you download the guide!
ABOUT THE GUIDES:
Travel has been a huge factor in developing our passion for coffee. Since we met, finding and visiting coffee shops has always been a highlight of our travels. Especially when on short trips, stopping into a roaster is a great way to get a taste of the local culture and pick up some tips for other good spots to visit.
Our guides are a way for us to share places we’ve visited and enjoyed. Rather than comprehensive, they’re intended to provide little glimpses into larger environments that hold any number of possibilities and will appeal to you in myriad ways, should you make the trip!Â
Be sure to check out our guides for Japan, Barcelona, Portugal, and New York, too!
We hope to inspire, add a few spots to your itinerary, and make sure no trip goes without delicious coffee 🙂
